Rev. Dr. 'Debo Onabanjo
Rev. ‘Debo was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, in West Africa before relocating to the US in 2005 and holds dual citizenship. He is happily married to ‘Lola, and they are proud parents of three young sons—Joshua, Daniel, and Samuel. He is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and the University of Lagos, two of the premier universities in Nigeria, and attended The Methodist Theological Institute, Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria, for his seminary training. He has also taken courses at United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio, where he completed the required coursework for the conferment of the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree in May 2022.
Rev. ‘Debo is an Ordained Priest in the Methodist Church Nigeria, the first Christian denomination in Nigeria, which celebrated 180 years of continuous ministry in 2022. He is also an Elder in the Global Methodist Church serving in the Allegheny West Provisional Conference. and has been in ministry since 1995, when he first became a fully accredited Lay Preacher. He is also the Pastor of Mt. Zion Global Methodist Church in Lancaster, OH. He currently lives with his family in Blacklick, Ohio.
